About the MDWA Entrepreneur Grant: 

Mid-Day Women's Alliance (MDWA) is taking applications for the 6th annual Women's Entrepreneurship Grant during the month of June. This competitive grant is open to women who own a new or existing business located in Winnebago, Calumet, or Outagamie counties that has started to produce revenue and is seeking to grow; any woman entrepreneur that fits that description is encouraged to apply. Multi-level marketing companies and nonprofit organizations will not be considered. 

Grant Recipient Receives:

One local female business owner will receive a $2,000 grant to support her business, monthly in-person business mentoring from a team of experts, 1:1 business coaching from a WWBIC small business coach, and an all-expenses paid one-year membership to Mid-Day Women's Alliance (value $400).

Application Opens: June 1, 2023

Application Deadline: June 30, 2023 at 11:59pm (Application is now closed)

Interview Timeline: 

Applications will be reviewed by the Grant committee who will choose final candidates for a second round of judging. All applicants will be informed of whether they are chosen as a finalist by Saturday, July 15. Not all applicants will receive an interview. If chosen, finalists must be available on Thursday, August 3 for a 1-hour interview sometime between 1pm until 5pm for the final in-person interview by an unbiased panel of judges. Finalists will be informed of the outcome of the final judging by Tuesday August 8. 

Mid-Day Women's Alliance Entrepreneur Grant Awards: The 2023 Entrepreneur Grant recipient will be awarded and celebrated on Wednesday, August 16th from 11:30am - 1pm. All are welcome to attend this luncheon to celebrate the five finalists and honor the one recipient of the Mid-Day Women's Alliance Entrepreneur Grant. Additionally, one of the finalist will be awarded with the Member's Choice award. MDWA members will vote for one of the finalists during the Awards on August 16th and that finalist will receive a free MDWA membership.
