A Majority of Americans think the ERA is part of the U.S. Constitution!!

Join us on February 21st ,for a discussion on the status of

the ERA in the U.S. in 2018

Druscilla Scribner,  Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, will be the guest speaker and will explore the current status of the ERA.  In addition to the status of the ERA, Professor Scribner will explore:

           ·          History of ERA in the U.S.

           ·          If we had an ERA, what would be different for women?

           ·          Where do we go from here?

Professor Scribner’s research examines women’s equal rights around the world and the impact of constitutional “equal rights” provisions for women’s social, political and economic status, legislative change, and advocacy efforts.  She has also researched this topic in Africa and Latin America.

Druscilla joined the faculty at UW-Oshkosh in 2005 and now teaches globally focused courses on women and politics, gender and law, and comparative law. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of California San Diego and a Masters of Science Degree from the London School of Economics.
