Panel Discussion on Civil Discourse in the Workplace

Somedays it seems that hate is dominating the news cycle and peace and civility are out of reach. Worse, this discord follows us into the workplace, creating an atmosphere of divisiveness, or political tension at best.  Mid-Day Women's Alliance will host a panel discussion on "Civil Discourse in the Workplace"  addressing what has happened to our ability to have civil discussions, what role each of us plays in creating civility and respect, and why the ability to have open honest discussions is so critical in the workplace.

Moderated by Irene Strohbeen our panel consists of leaders from government, academia, and business.

  • Amanda Stuck, Representative for the 57th Assembly District (Appleton)
  • Ann Mielke, Adjunct Social Sciences faculty at Moraine Park Tech, Owner of Mielkeway Educational Services
  • Karen Nelson, City of Appleton Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator
  • Rebecca Kellner, Risk & Compliance Officer, Associated Benefits and Risk Consulting
  • Tim Hanna, Mayor of the City of Appleton

Location: Butte Des Morts Country Club
3600 W Prospect Ave, Appleton, WI
