The Imposter Syndrome - What Women Leaders Need to Know

           11:30 AM –12:00 PM    Lunch/Networking

           12:00 PM –1:30 PM      Workshop

The stories we tell ourselves about ourselves might be more important than how we communicate with one another.

In this interactive workshop, you'll learn and practice the art of honoring the greatness within one another by working from the inside out.  We understand that how we communicate with others is vital to being able to truly see them, however, are we aware of the importance of our own self-talk?

During this growth session, you will be reminded of what happens when our assumptions go unchecked.  You'll understand how quickly the imposter syndrome can take over!

We will dig deep into our self talk.  Making the invisible, visible to one another.  We will find that while some of our discoveries are common sense, they are not always commonly practiced!  When we commit to checking our assumptions and living in our strengths we cannot help but create the next best version of ourselves.

Being your best personally and professionally is a lifelong journey that begins and ends with you!  Decide, commit and most importantly be gentle with yourself.

Cost – NO cost for MDWA members; $25 for non-MDWA members.  (Price includes food)

Presented by Ali Starr, motivational speaker, trainer, coach and owner of Tashi Deley.

Alison Starr started her own business, Tashi Deley, to pursue a passion and a dream. Tashi Deley is a Tibet greeting that means “I honor the greatness within you.” Prior to creating Tashi Deley she served as the Vice President of Culture Development at Verve, a Credit Union. She had the privilege of being able to positively influence Verve’s culture as shown through the latest Gallup engagement score, 34-1. This is 7 times greater than Gallup’s average.

Prior to creating Tashi Deley and working at Verve, she was the principal at Lourdes Academy Elementary Schools in Oshkosh, Wisconsin while coaching their High School girls’ basketball team. Alison has also worked for the NBA, NCAA, and NBC.

Through her experiences, Alison has discovered serving one another is key to fostering an exceptional team culture. She believes when you take care of your team, your team will take care of your customers, and the results will follow. In 2016, she was named a Finalist in the CUES Next Top Credit Union Executive Competition in Savannah, Georgia. Most recently, she shared one of her messages via a TEDx Talk.

Alison would love to see all organizations continue to get “better at getting better” through the development of the companies’ greatest asset…its people!  She lives by the motto: “Who you are is good enough; don’t ever stop creating the next best version of yourself. It feels great to grow.”
