Monthly Legislative Committee Meeting

We typically meet monthly to discuss the legislative platform for MDWA, current events, education opportunities, etc. 

All are welcome! 

NOTE: Meeting time has been extended back to the 1.5 hour length from 11:30-1:00. We seem to have a lot to discuss!!

   2. Paid Leave in FFCRA,
   3. August Recess appointments
4. GOTV (Get Out The Vote):  MomsRising Postcard campaign
5. Movie Night:  Iron-Jawed Angels? Zero Weeks? Other?

Bonnie Coonen retired from her work as the Director of the Sexual Assault Crisis Center in Appleton and the Coordinator of the Sexual Assault Center in Door Co. and later Oconto Co. in 2014 after 35 years. In these positions she served over 5,000 sexual assault victims of all ages, provided prevention programming to ares schools and trained professionals who worked with victims.  In 2015 she started volunteering with 5 Stones an agency with a mission to prevent"human/sex trafficking" serving on their Board of Directors and presenting to community groups.
