WILD Workshops (Women In Leadership Development) provides quarterly leadership development workshops for members and non-members by identifying compelling topics for workshops as well as promoting and supporting the workshop completion.

Callie Huft, our Women's Health Therapist, will be leading an in-person, relevant and candid discussion about five beliefs that we often hold about women's health.

These beliefs are contributing to pain, burn out, and other relational issues. They can be a daily struggle for women wishing for more joy; but not knowing how to actually get it.

We will be talking about... These beliefs and ways to reconsider your approach to improving YOUR HEALTH no matter what your age.

These beliefs and ways to reconsider your approach to improving YOUR HEALTH no matter what your age.

Common Five Beliefs:

1. "A good mom/friend/grandma/sister puts herself last."

2. "My physical issues are just the new normal; PAIN AND BURN OUT.

3. "I MUST do "xyz" if I want to be healthier and happier"

4. "Kegels are the end-all-be-all exercise for pelvic floor health and reduced pain ."

5. "My physical symptoms are separate from my mental and emotional struggles."

Callie hopes to shed NEW light on some of these tightly held beliefs we have adopted about women's health that are negatively impacting our physical, emotional, mental, and relational health and wellness.

So ladies, regardless of your age, you will have a chance to analyze how these beliefs might be impacting your health and wellness in very real ways.

About Callie:
Callie was born and raised in Northern Minnesota. She attended college at the University of North Dakota and graduated in 2013 with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. In her career, Callie has worked in a wide variety of practice settings, including a Level One Trauma Hospital in Phoenix, inpatient rehabilitation centers, and is currently the in-house therapist at The Chiropractic Advantage in Appleton, Wisconsin, where she treats a wide spectrum of conditions and is certified to offer the effective treatment modality of Dry Needling.

Callie grew deeply passionate about women’s health as she experienced pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period with her daughter, Myla, in 2019. This passion expanded further with the arrival of her son, Beckham, in 2021. Her eyes were continually opened to the lack of education, care, and guidance surrounding how to support physical and mental health during the pre and post-natal seasons. As a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, Callie provides individualized treatment, support, and education for women who are experiencing common ailments and issues during and after pregnancy. She believes that women deserve comprehensive care for optimal health and wellness so they are able to enjoy all that life has to offer without pain or limitation.
